Programs that automatically set up the proper formats for many kinds of manuscripts
are available which can save the writer much time. One of my favorites is Wizards
For Word, just released in Version 3.0. These integrate
well with MS Word and customize it according to individual need.
Writing a term paper, essay, thesis or dissertation for school? Wizards For
Students sets up the format for you according to your choice of MLA, APA or

Writing a fiction or nonfiction book? With Wizards For Authors, write it
chapter by chapter with Book Master, using Joiner and Burster wizards to
connect or separate portions. Develop a database of characters with
Character Wizard and track your plot elements with Plot Wizard. Book
Master stores everything in a folder. Various templates, including a
standard article wizard, proposal, query and short story wizards are
available for shorter pieces.
Agent Wizard is a database of 450+ agents that can be selectively searched
for the most likely agents for your work. Updates are free. Use it with the
Merge Query Wizard to create and track form letters and address envelopes.
Ghost Reviewer and Book Doctor help you review and proof your manuscripts
using The Elements of Style, Encarta's Style Manual, and the 15th Ed. of the
Chicago Manual of Style, and are included with both student and author
software. Reformat manuscripts created in a different program from MS Word
to fit Word with Repair Wizard.
Several different combinations are available at different prices and can be
reviewed in detail with text, Flash presentations and price lists at the
